Developed during the peak of lockdown, the Black Country Impact team needed to get key information over to their clients. Face-to-face filming could not be undertaken because of the national restrictions, So we worked closely with contributors remotely to capture content and footage. The video received over 2.5 K views in the first few days of launch.

The largest outdoor exhibition in Wolverhampton, LearnPlay Foundation documented the artists involved through a series of interviews to increase their exposure and promote the project. We interviewed the artists, getting to know their motivations and process to the wolves that would hit the streets of Wolverhampton.
Commissioned by the talented people that run the SHAPE Program and Youth Forum at Sandwell Council, LearnPlay worked to create a video showcasing how Sandwell tackles the difficult task of Youth Engagement, ensuring that Young People in Sandwell have their voices heard. We worked with project organisers and young people within Sandwell to bring this to life in video form.

This film was made by young people under the Young Roots Programme of the Heritage Lottery Fund. They wanted to make a contemporary and compelling documentary charting the rich history and heritage of the Black Country Dialect. They were taught all aspects of scripting, pre and post production and undertook most of the editing. The final result is amazing, do take a look. Commissioned by the B-Safe Team from Wolverhampton Safeguarding Together, we worked with Young People from the Headstart Youth Group to put together a hard hitting story of Knife Crime. It was crafted by the Young People who starred in it, guided by the professionals at LearnPlay Foundation to create a video that speaks to Young People.
Child Sexual Exploitation is an important and complex issue in today’s world. The West Midlands Police Commissioner approached us to develop a series of digitised training materials in the form of casted and scripted film shorts held together with statutory training materials packaged into an interactive DVD. This DVD will be used Midlands wide to educate licensed taxi drivers around CSE.
Scripted by young people in workshops prior to filming with spot casting for many of the key roles on the day, our client wanted this mini feature to tackle key issues within our local communities such as Forced Marriage, Gang Culture & Domestic Violence. The involvement of young people and the local community allowed an element of learning by stealth but also ensured perspectives were mapped in from both ends of the age spectrum.
We were commissioned by Sandwell Council in both 2014 & 2015 to film & showcase their wonderful annual arts & street festival.
A hard hitting documentary about ex-convict Jamie Reeds difficult life that led him to crime, heroine addiction and ultimately prison. The purpose of the documentary was for our Police client to show young people thought to be at risk, the consequences of a life of crime.
