City Deal is a new and exciting project that LearnPlay Foundation have recently been awarded. LearnPlay is part of a bigger consortium of partners headed up by AGE UK based in Walsall.
The overarching aim of City Deal is to help those furthest away from work mainly seniors within our community to gain new skills, confidence and experience in order to help them back towards the workplace.
City Deal is a project that covers targeted areas within the Black Country and LearnPlay along with the lead partners will be addressing Darlaston South part of Walsall. LearnPlay’s role will be to provide engaging, fun and high octane sessions targeted at seniors from the Darlaston South area which will give them access to work based technologies and packages, help them feel comfortable and proficient with these, sessions on how to use the internet, undertake job searches, provides comfort around new and upcoming technology as well as engagement sessions that utilise a wide range of technology that help build confidence skills and encourage links and partnerships.
This is a great win for LearnPlay Foundation as it allows us to get back amongst the elders within our community and provide fun, engaging and key learning sessions to our older community members as we have done over the years.
