Gabriel: Functional Skills Learners
Recently I have been doing Maths functional skills every Monday and Tuesday for 2 hours. I have been doing the work from home due to current circumstances in the country. I have been enjoying the work, and the tutors are very helpful checking with me every 20 minutes to see how I am getting on. I am grateful for the help I have been given by the tutors involved and I look forward to further improving my maths.
Thank you, Gabriel
Georgia Smith Recruitment & HR Manager
I have been at LPF over 2 years and started on an apprenticeship as I lacked some qualifications and experience. I started at LPF doing a Design NVQ but my skills set and knowledge slowly forged me in to an admin role. This has now developed in to a second apprenticeship where alongside my qualification my job role has developed to be part of the recruitment and HR team. I recently got prompted to HR Manager and I can’t wait to see what the next 12 months hold in store!
Sam Marshall Copywriter & Account Executive
I started working at LearnPlay not long after my successful interview having been unemployed for 2 years. I started my NVQ soon after and immediately began to learn the skills necessary to be an active and contributing member of the team. Through my NVQ, I have learned how to do undertake a number of key business functions and a wide plethora of other skills which I now use daily without thinking.
I know that when I come to work I can do my job well and be respected for it. I completed my NVQ and have commenced another one, in keeping with the company ethos of Continuous Professional Development.
I have recently been promoted and I am now a key member of the Design Team where I am the main copywriter for clients & campaigns as well as an Account Executive, which will lead to managing and overseeing client accounts on a daily basis.
Tom Chance Age 17 : Learner & Work Placement
Before I came to LearnPlay, I was very quiet and in a bit of a rut. I didn’t socialise and I was pretty much stayed in my room 24/7. My time at LearnPlay has greatly helped my confidence and communication and helped me become more sociable. The 3 ASDAN awards that I have completed here have given me a real sense of achievement and the Expressive Arts Awards has taught me so many technical skills. I went on to do a placement with LearnPlay that has been so interesting and enjoyable. I have been out on deliveries with LearnPlay facilitators and helped other young people with their skills. The placement has provided me with so much and such good experience for my future. I’m really looking forward to progressing and becoming a LearnPlay facilitator in time.
I would recommend LearnPlay to everyone!
